Book Review – The Aspirational Investor by Ashvin B. Chhabra

My Amazon Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Great book – would give it 5 stars, but I felt it lacked actionable instructions for beginners, a little to general – but it contains really good information about portfolio construction, and I have used it to help structure my own holdings.

My favorite advice in the book – is to break your portfolio into 3 Buckets:

  • Aspirational (High Risk)
  • Important (Market)
  • Essential (Safety)

If you can sleep at night knowing you can lose 100% of the money in your Aspirational (Speculative) Bucket, and 50% of your Important (Market) Bucket – you are set.

z - even even smaller
