Market Trend: All Time Highs Again!

Based on the low volume Market Rally today, I have a new hedge trade I am trying to get filled – will list the details tomorrow if it closes.

Listed below are this week’s trend numbers for the Markets I track:

The following table is based on the Z Option Market Analysis Tool – which determines if a market is trending by assigning a trending score from -3 to +3.  This helps us keep our trading with the trend.

SPX S&P 500 INDEX 3 3

Any market showing a 3 or a -3 is trending strongly – and should be factored into any options strategy you are contemplating.

S&P 500 hit new all-time highs today – very hard to believe given the low volumes and negative headlines, but you have to work with what the market gives you.  The only areas not getting a bid are Energy and Financials – so I guess the Trump reflation trade is dead for now.
