Had to roll my Comcast Corp (CMCSA) covered calls today – original trade was too early (as usual). I have 1023 shares of Comcast, with a cost basis less than $34.50.

Here is the original trade:

• Strike Price: $41.00
• Premium Collected: *$560.00

Here is the roll:

• Bought: 10 July 21, 2023 Calls
• Sold: 10 August 19, 2023 Calls
• Strike Price: $42.50
• Premium Paid: *-$160.00

I still have *$400.00 of Premium left from the original transaction. Comcast also went ex-dividend on 7/3/2023 so I will be collecting approx. $297.00 on 7/26/2023. If the shares are taken away in August, I still improved my situation by *$1,340.00 ($1,500.00 – $160.00).
